Craft Punching - How to Get Started

Wonderful title pieces or tile pieces can be made with larger sized punchies. If various sizes of punchies from the basic shape given below are used then they might prove to be of great help. Instead of buying hundreds of different punchers for punching purpose you can employ the basic geometric shapes which includes circles, squares, ovals, triangles, rectangles, hearts, stars, bears, spirals, leaves and other flower shapes.

How to use basic shape collection of yours in your project:

Circle: basic circle shape punchies can be used in place of every sports ball imaginable, a ton of food ideas such as candy, cookies, pizza, tacos, grapes, oranges, berries, watermelon, apples, fun stuff like bubbles, wheels, eyes, faces, balloons, flowers, animals, teddy bears, owls, frogs, rabbits, caterpillars, bunny tails, paw prints, the sun, the moon, a wreath, ornaments, Christmas lights etc.

Squares: this can be used for gifts or presents, books, building blocks or ABC and 123 blocks.

Ovals: this type of shapes are employed for making animal bodies including a bear, bumble bee or cat, wings, flower petals, leaves, heads, shoes, Easter eggs, Christmas lights-a lots of other!

Rectangles: a vast variety of shapes can be made from rectangles or their combination like trains, piano keys, and books of all sizes, stems, flower boxes, cards, and even some of your body parts.

Hearts: they can also be molded into different types of shapes like you cut them to make wings, arms and legs, patchwork hearts etc. You can also employ them for making shamrocks and flowers, lips, cut them to make strawberries, carrots, use on all kinds of themed pages from love to engagement to wedding to baby.

Stars: a real night scene can be made with stars if used precisely and clear. Also it helps us to make fireworks scene, a sheriff's badge, and birthday layouts, make arrows, leaves and flower pedals etc.

Bears: these types of shapes are most popular and most widely used as they can be dressed up for any occasion by adding bows, collars, dresses, shirts, pj's, even a bathing suit. They are really great for baby or child layouts, birthdays, gingerbread men or snowmen.

Spirals: great for hair, antennae's, tongues, tails, flower vines and stems, great for birthday or any party themed page and use them for fireworks too.

Leaves: great wings can be made with them if cutting is done properly. They can also be embedded in flowers and plants pictures, vines, cut them to make wings, and fall fun designs etc.
