Super Bowl Party Planner and Recipes
Ok, so your planning a Super Bowl Party and you want to have a bunch of guys.and some girls over to watch the big game, drink, eat and be merry.right? So here's the question, how do you please everyone? Well this is not a sure fire solution, but it has worked for me in the past and I hope it works for you. Everything here will be listed in amounts for 8 people. Adjust accordingly.
Super Bowl Cajun Shrimp |
40 Shrimp
1 Green pepper
1 Red pepper
1 Yellow pepper
1 Orange peppers
10 Mushrooms
1 cooking Onions
1 Habanera peppers.or some other type of hot pepper
2 cloves Garlic
1 cup Olive oil
8 dashes Liquid smoke
1 table spoon Cajun spice
6 turns of Fresh ground pepper
½ cup Wine
Chop all veggies into bite size cubes, so everything will be the same size. Shrimp, peppers, mushrooms etc.Put them into a cast iron frying pan.or two if needed. Depending on the size of the ones you have. I have a monster one so I'm good.
Then mix all the liquids into a 2-cup measuring cup. Once it's well mixed, poor over veggies and shrimp. It should be enough to just about cover everything. If it isn't feel free to add more oil or wine to suit.
Toss it in the oven at 350 for about 30 minutes. This should be enough time depending on your oven. Check periodically. Once the shrimp has curled up and the veggies are firm yet somewhat soft, it's done.
Pull it out using a dry towel or oven mitts, strain and put into serving bowl. Poor a little of the mixture back over the top as a topping. Imagine pouring au jus over your prime rib. Then place it on your buffet table. I'll explain the set up of that later, on.

Super Bowl Nachos |
|
1 large bag of nacho's (your choice of brand)
½ block of cheddar cheese
½ Green peppers
½ red peppers
½ yellow pepper
½ orange peppers
1 tomato
½ cup black olives
2 green onions
½ cup salsa
500ml sour cream
Chop all veggies into small cubes. Basically dice all veggies. Put them into a mixing bowl and mix them up. Place the entire bag of nachos onto a baking sheet (a.k.a. cookie sheet) the carefully pour the salsa over them. Then spread 75% of the cheese over everything. I'm assuming you have already grated it or bought it that way.) Ensuring you cover the whole thing. Then using handfuls evenly distribute the veggies over the entire thing. Then put the rest of the cheese on. Put it in the oven at 400 for 15 minutes, or until all the cheese is melted. Again using a dry towel or oven mitts take the tray out and add it to your buffet table on 2 pot warmers.

Super Bowl Chili |
|
4 cans of kidney beans, 3 red 1 white.
4lbs med ground beef
1lb bacon
1 red pepper
1 green pepper
1 red pepper
1 yellow pepper
20 Mushrooms
1 Spanish Onions
2 jalapenos
1 Jamaican yellow
1 habanera
2 chili peppers
1 can of whole tomatoes (lg)
1 can of diced tomatoes (lg)
1 jar of classico tomato sauce. (Choose a flavour)
1 ounces bull's-eye original sauce
8 dashes of liquid smoke
3 ounces nice aged whiskey
2 tbsp chili powder
Lay bacon out evenly on a baking sheet and put in the oven for 15 minutes at 350. Or until crispy. When done chop in ½ inch pieces.
Put some butter in large cook pot. Clarify the onion in large cook pot. Crush up 3 gloves of garlic and put them in with the dashes of liquid smoke. Toss in habaneras, chilis, Jamaican and jalapenos. After about 5 minutes at medium heat, put in all peppers. After another 5 minutes put in mushrooms. Let cook for 4-5 minutes then add the can of whole and deiced tomatoes. Toss in all beans. Turn down low and let this simmer.
Mean while in another pot you should be browning your beef. This is accomplished at the same time as step one. All you need do is leave the stove on medium heat and stir it up every so often. Once the beef is brown put in your bbq sauce. Let this simmer and cook down for about 10 minutes.continuously stirring. Then dump the beef in the large cook pot, add the bacon, throw in the jar of classico tomato sauce and the chili powder and stir extremely well. Let simmer for as many hours as you possibly can. Stir occasionally.

Super Bowl Beer |
|
At most liquor stores you can buy varieties of canned beer. Generally from all over the world. Some I suggest are..
Grolsh
Kozel
Guiness
Caffery's
Kilkenny
Moosehead
Mythos
Samuel Adams
Upper Canada
Keiths
Gosser
Duvel
Tyskie
This way you add something to remember for people. How often do people get to try beers from around the world?
p.s. grab a dozen Coors light....just in case.

Super Bowl Punch |
Now for the Super Bowl Punch. One of my favourites is long island ice tea. You can make a big punch bowl of it.
1.5 cups vodka
¾ cup tequila
1.5 cup rum
1.5 cup gin
1 cup triple sec
2 cups sweet and sour mix
1 cup Coca-Cola®
Stir well then load up with ice cubs. This will make about 75 ounces of punch. Depending on the amount of ice you use there will be about 8- 12 cups. Once again feel free to adjust accordingly.

Super Bowl Games and Gambling Ideas |
Take 10 little pieces of paper and write the numbers 0 through 9 on them. Fold them up and put them in a hat. Charge whatever you like for one. Take your pot and divide it by 4. At the end of each quarter add the scores of both teams together. Whatever the last number is ...is the winning ticket.
Eg/ Redskins 24
Dolphins 14
Total points is 38. Therefore who ever has the 8 wins the pot for that quarter.

p.s. a roll of duck tap works great to stand the football up on.
